Carnaby Street
Carnaby Street (@carnabylondon) is most famous for being the beating heart of London’s fashion scene at the height of the Swinging Sixties. Iconic stars spent a lot of time in Carnaby - the kind of people that couldn't be more famous if they tried. Music gurus like Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, the Rolling Stones and The Beatles would visit often, as did sixties style goddesses Brigitte Bardot and Elizabeth Taylor.
Where did the iconic hip hop record store Deal Real, showcasing Amy Winehouse, Kanye West and John Legend among others open? Carnaby Street.
Where did Paul McCartney meet Linda in a club on May 15, 1967? Carnaby Street.
Where was that really famous photo of the Sex Pistols taken? Carnaby Street. And now, a new @elan_cafe Location that has my artwork across its walls on Carnaby Street!! I couldn’t be happier to see my artwork on such an iconic London Street.
